Diablo Canyon is located in the wilderness west of Santa Fe, near the Rio Grande River. It is accessible via a 10-12 mile long graded dirt road, far from any developments. The canyon, athough short in length, is quite impressive. It was used for some of the scenes in the 2007 remake of the movie, 310 To Yuma. It is also a popular location for rock climbing and rapelling. The arroyo that cuts through the canyon leads down to the Rio Grande River where additional trails follow the river downstream for a much longer hiking experience.

The photographs in this photo tour were taken in November of 2006 and April of 2007. They highlight the rugged scenery along the trail at Diablo Canyon near Santa Fe. Related links for Santa Fe are listed near the bottom of this page.
