Fall is an excellent
time for visiting the southeastern part of the state, in which a large
part is made up of the Gila National Forest. The Gila Wilderness, just
one region in the national forest, offered scenic mountain roads, cool
breezes, easy foot trails and a brief step back in time.
The photographs in this
photo tour were taken in early November of 2006. They highlight the scenic
beauty of the Gila Wilderness Area. Related links for Silver City and the
Gila Wilderness area are listed near the bottom of this page.
